I couldn’t resist getting this shot of a Cypriot bulk carrier off Sea Point this last weekend:

Not because it’s a particularly spectacular bulk carrier: it’s not. No, simply because – despite its unspectacularity – the fact remains that it’s a Ship… Called… Dig… Ni… Ty:

Also, (and probably only because the Dignity is quite new and has been elusive up until now), my photo has (currently, at least) become the go-to image for marinetraffic.com’s Dignity page.

Yeah. That’s fame right there. Please form an orderly queue for autographs. Selfies extra.

Trees

Went up on the mountain today. Took a couple of photos. Of trees.

Then, rather than blogging this afternoon, I made some superb burgers and we cooked them on the braai, just as nature intended.

Seriously, it’s every cow’s dream to end up in a 6k burger.
And, having tasted them, I can completely understand why.

It’s not quite like that airport in Gibraltar (?) where they shut down the road because it’s halfway down the runway, but…

When they landed these little Short 360s (or anything else on this runway) at Ronaldsway Airport in the Isle of Man, they had to shut the back road through to Derbyhaven.
I learnt to drive along this road, albeit without the distraction of overhead traffic or the local Rozzers.

Another packed day, another bike ride with the boy – followed by a long drive home in the post-Easter traffic (at least the views were nice) and friends staying over this evening.
