I actually have no clue how many sunsets I have posted on this blog. But last night’s was pretty spectacular:
No fancy editing stuff required here. Just a point and shoot on my Mum’s point and shoot camera.
The sunlight, pollutants and water vapour in the atmosphere did the rest.
And I think it did it rather well.
It’s been miserable while we’ve been here, weather-wise.
But today, the sun came out and everything was alright.
We took the opportunity to get some fishing in and had an excellent visbraai before heading out for a quick walk after dinner to enjoy the late sunset.
Sadly, it looks like this will be our first and last Manx sunset this time around.
Belatedly, I know. But I couldn’t find anything worth desktopping and I don’t want to give you rubbish, so I had to wait until I took this photo this weekend.
Twilight on Suiderstrand beach on Saturday evening, with the waves gently rolling in onto the pebbles as the sun sank slowly, but surely, into the South Atlantic. (f/8.0, 6s).
This one was edited in the new version of Picasa (v3.9) which has some lovely new features to play with and is becoming more like Instagram every day. Meanwhile, Instagram is “very soon” to be available for Android. I’ll certainly give it a go, but I’m still a huge fan of Vignette for Android.

I’ve got a (much) better one of these, but it was taken on the camera, so it will have to wait until I have “decent” connectivity to upload.
