Day 386 – Aaaand relax

It’s been a hectic few weeks after our house move. There’s been a lot going on at home, at school and at work. That’s why when the opportunity to get away to the cottage for the weekend popped up, we jumped at the chance.

Right now, I’m next to the braai with a beagle at my feet. Later, I intend to be in bed for a long, long time, and beyond that, aside from walking on the beach, I have very little planned.

Expect photos tomorrow perhaps.

Perhaps.

Day 129 – Baby Beach QP

The braai is lit and we’re back from a wander around the village and down by the sea.

There’s a fillet steak inside ready to go, there’s a 2013 Uitkyk shiraz in my glass and there’s Tori Amos on the ever-reliable Sony speaker.

So I’m giving you this – a quick point and shoot effort from our walk – and getting back to the important stuff at hand…

Have a lovely evening.

I plan to.

Durban…

Durban has been cool. It’s a scruffy place, but that’s not necessarily a criticism. It handles its scruffiness well. It’s part of its character.

We’ve seen giraffes, zebras, a steam train, a host of exotic birds, dolphins and several (or more) water slides.

One thing we haven’t seen is any reasonable way of uploading photos to Flickr, and as we move on, there seems even less chance of that being sorted in our Wild Coast home for the next few days.
I know this will hurt you, dear readers, but not bringing a laptop along was very much part of the idea of this whole trip.
