The sea is looking spectacular today, but photos – especially with my phone – just don’t do it justice.
Still, no harm in trying, unless you almost get washed out to sea while you’re at it. Which I did.
This was inside the reef at Suiderstrand; beyond it were mental 7 metre swells, which would definitely have finished me off.
Rain tomorrow, allegedly. Colour me unconvinced. Still, while the clouds are away, the metaphorical mice will head to Struisbaai beach:
A perfect morning there and then off for pizza and beer at Seagulls in Agulhas.
Now, mid afternoon, the sky is still blue but the wind is approaching gale force and there’s a definite feeling that those pesky weathermen might be right, after all.

I’m no expert on the Parisian skyline, but I’m pretty sure that this is taken from the mighty Montparnasse Tower, given the height of the cameraman, the surrounding geography, and the similarity in composition to the photo in this post, which was taken from the mighty Montparnasse Tower.
Glorious.
Kids out for the afternoon and evening, so we’re out on the pi… we’re having a few drinks.
Just a note to self: never, NEVER use public transport to get here again. EVER.
