Keep warm

We’re off out for a longstanding dinner date this evening – the arrangement of which, incidentally, demonstrated exactly how busy modern life can be – but having checked the weather forecast, I thought that my local readers would appreciate this photo given the wet, windy conditions expected over the weekend.

It doesn’t move, I’ll admit. That’s because it’s a photo. If you want movement, you’ll have to head over here and buy the DVD. That also comes with “a selection of different styles of fire and authentic noises”.

Here at 6000.co.za, you get “my braai” and you have to imagine the sound of the bottle opener hard at work behind the camera. Red wine will be the order of the day, I would imagine.

Two Views

Because I’m so busy looking for TB and (oddly) marking science projects, have two views of Table Mountain – taken yesterday and today, respectively:

The foreign contingent will be all, “OMG, it’s, like, sooooo beautiful!”, the Joburgers, “Pfft. The MOWNTAIN! SO Cape Town.” and the Cape Town lot will be “Meh. Saw it earlier.”

So, glad you enjoyed it, foreign contingent. Now, back to “Does Weedkiller Kill Weeds?”

Point & Shoot

Another lighthouse pic, this one illustrating the fact that sometimes, you just need to point and shoot to get a half decent photo:

Doubtless, I could have done better (perhaps even achieving the dizzy new heights of a ‘full-decent’ photo) with a little more time and a little more effort, but I didn’t have the former and I had limited inclination for the latter, so this will have to do.
Honestly, it’s got a lighthouse and a sunset in it. What more do you want? Herds of wildebeest sweeping majestically across the plain? Quit your whining.
