We went. We worked. It was hot, windy, painty, heavy stuff. It’s no wonder we’re knackered.
Bedtime.

A welcome new album from Oxford shoegazers, Ride.
They’re playing in Sheffield this evening. Lucky buggers.
We’ve all moved on a bit since those halcyon, early 90s days though, and Ride are no exception. This live, gentle, acoustic version of their latest single – Jump Jet – is rather nice.
The real thing is also pretty good: a bit faster, a bit louder, a good deal more energetic. And yes, it’s on this playlist.
Knock yourselves out.
I’m heading down to Agulhas this weekend, and while I intend to wander along the beach, inhale the fresh sea air and generally de-stress, that will only be once I’ve done all my jobs.
And there are quite a few jobs to do, for this is a maintenance visit.
Things need to look nice ahead of the holidays. After all, there are likely to be visitors during the summer season:
Eina.
The worry is that making stuff look nice and de-stressing will leave very little time for other stuff, like blogging. And there’s an additional issue: unstable internets.
According to the local Whatsapp group, the Vodacom signal there has been a bit iffy of late. Something to do with a digger near Napier. Clumsy bugger. And given that I have no alternatives, it seems safer just to gooi up a blog post in advance so that you guys don’t miss out.
I knew you’d be delighted.
Right. I’m off to pack my toolbox.
Have a great day!
I entered (or was entered in?) a competition to win some fuel.
I didn’t win. Mr Poo won.

Well done, Mr Poo.
Uh-oh!

Indeed. Step forward Capnocytophaga canimorsus.
This is why I always love it when dog owners bring their pets into supermarkets and coffee shops. Because yes, Capno is – as it states above – rare. But there are numerous other more common (but ok, potentially less serious) bacteria, viruses and parasites that your friendly neighbourhood pooch is carrying around with them, right next to you as you’re having your breakfast or buying your food.
(And don’t even get me started on cats…)
Nice.
