This was Tyneside on a freeing cold Monday in November, complete with pink skies, snow flurries and a biting North-Easter coming in off the sea. More here.
The journey home to Sheffield took five and a half hours and I almost ended up stranded in Doncaster. Yeah – that bad.
Not here. It’s actually been a beautiful day in Cape Town today.
This quota photo was taken at Tynemouth at the end of November last year.
I’ve seen much wilder seas, but I don’t think I’ve known cold like it. At least -15°C with the wind chill. It even made that day at Portishead seem pleasant.
All in all, it’s not bad shot considering how much I was shivering.
