Chilly but beautiful morning. Much better than was forecast. A gentle 7km along the beach here, enjoying the fresh air and the wildlife.
The clouds have rolled in this afternoon, and with reports of rain in Cape Town already, we’re going to get the braai going early and then batten down the hatches for what looks like a wild night ahead.
I mentioned yesterday that I got to spend some quality time with my daughter, strandloping.

Took my smallest half out for a walk to Piet se Punt this afternoon. Four kilometres along the beach and three tonnes of shells later, we returned.
This makes it look a whole lot gloomier than it actually was. I still reckon we’ll get a braai in this evening.
